Before You Arrive

Day 1

Arrive and Breckenridge Main Street

Afternoon: Settle In

Drop bags. Coffee and something warm at Clint's Bakery & Coffee House or Cuppa Joe on Main Street.

Take the group photo on the Blue River Plaza footbridge in Breckenridge before the light goes. Ten Mile Range in the background, nobody in the frame.

Late Afternoon: Apres and Gondola

Ride the BreckConnect Gondola up and back. It is free, it is heated, and it is the best twenty minutes of anyone's first day.

Then Apres Handcrafted Libations, Gold Pan Saloon for the oldest bar in town, or Broken Compass Brewing for a taproom that fits a loud group.

Dinner

Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Cantina for margaritas and green chili. Empire Burger or Fatty's Pizzeria if the group wants easy. Sancho Tacos & Tequila for a late table.

Evening: Rooftops and Late Nights

Fatty's Pizzeria rooftop deck, The Canteen Taphouse & Tavern rooftop, or South Ridge Seafood Grill rooftop. All heated, all on Main.

Late: Downstairs at Eric's for arcade games, Cecilia's Martini Bar, or Blue Stag Saloon.

Recovery Setup

Water before bed, seriously. Book Rocky Mountain IV Medics or Elite IV Lounge for 9am tomorrow if anyone is feeling the elevation.

Day 2

Brunch, Photos, Big Activity

Brunch

Columbine Cafe in Breckenridge (no reservations, get there before 9am). Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe in Frisco for a group that can sit and linger.

Crepes a la Cart on Main Street if you want it fast and outdoors.

Photo Run

Sapphire Point Overlook above Dillon Reservoir. Main Street Breckenridge Historic District. Dillon Marina at golden hour. Loveland Pass summit if the road is clear.

Late September: Boreas Pass Road for the aspens.

Afternoon Activity (Pick One)

Winter: dinner sleigh ride with Two Below Zero, a snowmobile tour with White Mountain Snowmobile Tours or Good Times Adventures, tubing at Frisco Adventure Park or Keystone Adventure Point, or a horse-drawn ride from Breckenridge Stables.

Summer: pontoon or paddleboards at Dillon Marina or Frisco Bay Marina, a raft or fly-fishing day on the Blue River, or the Old Dillon Reservoir Trail for a hike anyone can do.

Spa route: Infinity Spa at Grand Colorado on Peak 8, The Spa at Beaver Run Resort, The Lodge Spa at Breckenridge, or Keystone Lodge & Spa. Book the group block, not individual appointments.

Tasting route: Breckenridge Distillery, Mythology Distillery, and Continental Divide Winery are all walkable from Main Street. Or run the brewery loop: Broken Compass, Outer Range Brewing Co. in Frisco, Dillon Dam Brewery, Angry James in Silverthorne.

Dinner

Breckenridge: Hearthstone Restaurant, Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon, Aurum Food & Wine, or Modis.

Beyond Breck: Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone, Sauce on the Blue in Silverthorne, Bagalis in Frisco.

Something different: Der Fondue Chessel at Keystone. Gondola ride up, fondue at 11,444 feet, gondola ride down.

Evening

Live music at Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, or Dillon Amphitheater in summer. Then back to Main Street for one more round at Burke & Riley's Irish Pub or RMU Tavern.

Day 3

Brunch, Day Trip, Goodbye

Brunch

Sunshine Cafe in Silverthorne. Blue Moon Bakery for cinnamon rolls. Bluebird Market food hall if the group cannot agree.

Day Trip Options

Montezuma ghost town above Keystone (30 min). Loveland Pass and the Continental Divide (25 min). Vail Village (45 min west). Georgetown and Idaho Springs on the way down (40 min east).

Hot springs: Indian Hot Springs is the closest, Iron Mountain and Glenwood are a proper day.

Last Meal

Downstairs at Eric's for a last round of bar food. Peppino's Pizza & Subs in Frisco. Old Dillon Inn in Silverthorne for the local dive with good enchiladas.

Souvenirs

Breckenridge Hat Company. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Ridge Street Fudge on Main. Breckenridge Distillery retail shop for bottles to take home. Outlets at Silverthorne on the drive out.

Logistics

Group Transportation

6+ People

Book a private shuttle or a driver for the night. The towns are 10 to 20 minutes apart and nobody should be driving mountain roads after apres.

2 to 5 People

The Summit Stage bus is free and connects all six towns. Breckenridge and Keystone also run free in-town shuttles. Uber XL works in town but gets thin late.

DEN Airport

Epic Mountain Express and Peak 1 Express run shared and private shuttles. Fixed price, no surge, and somebody else handles I-70. Leave four hours before your flight on a Sunday.

Parking

Resort lots fill by 8:30am on weekends and powder days. Park once at the condo and use the shuttles.

Recovery

Recovery Tools

Mobile IV and Oxygen

Rocky Mountain IV Medics comes to your condo. Elite IV Lounge and PS Oxygen Bar are walk-in in Breckenridge. Colorado Mountain Oxygen delivers canisters and concentrators countywide.

Local Hangover Ritual

Columbine Cafe breakfast and a coffee from The Crown. Butterhorn Bakery in Frisco. Then a slow soak at the Breckenridge Recreation Center pool.

Stay Hydrated

Thin, dry mountain air dehydrates you faster than heat does, and alcohol hits harder at 9,600 feet. Water between drinks, every night.

When To Worry

A headache and bad sleep are normal for a day or two. Vomiting, confusion, or shortness of breath at rest are not. St. Anthony Summit Hospital is in Frisco and driving downhill fixes most of it.
